We are looking for a senior investment manager/vice-president who will have wide degree of autonomy. The main areas of work will be investment deals with b2b projects in finance, fintech, IT with a focus on early stage (no seed) or expansion stage companies.
You can work with the privately owned financial group, which is willing to expand in primary business areas (in Russia and abroad). You will report to a board minus one executive.
Requirements

  • graduate or master's degree student in economics/finance/maths/engineering/IT from leading Russian or foreign universities
  • understanding the structure of the venture capital market and drivers of the valuation, the main trends in the fintech market
  • experience of 3+ years in in VC/PE/IB (buy-side)
  • english – fluent
  • the ability to analyze companies quickly and comprehensively using limited data
  • ability to set goals and work independently, results-driven, self-motivated
  • CFA, ACCA, ACA certificate is an advantage, but not a deal-breaker
  • experience of building a new business from scratch is an advantage


Responsibilities

  • conduct analysis of market and technology trends
  • research, identify, and source new deal flow opportunities
  • analysis of investment opportunities (verification of data, validation of business model and unit economics, challenge assumptions, calculation of synergies with group’s businesses, preliminary valuation)
  • preparation of concise investment materials for executives (no pitches, no dozens of slides memos), provide analysis and recommendations to assist with strategic decision making
  • build financial models (simple for early stage investment opportunities)
  • participation in investment transactions (negotiations, drafting term sheets, coordinating and leading Due Diligence process, mainly internal DD, execution etc).
