Leads continues improvement/WCM projects at the plant level. Trains local team to use Lean and Six Sigma tools for problem solving. Builds and deploys the Lean/Continuous Improvement Culture. Reports to the Plant’s Technical Director

Responsibilities:
  • Leads plant level Continuous Improvement projects in EHS, quality, efficiency, costs
  • Coordinates implementation of the Corporate 5S standards
  • Drives application of the standard tools: 8D, A3, PDCA, SDCA, SMED, etc.
  • Monitors plant’s KPIs (OEE, EFF, SPL, QC, etc.)
  • Manages implementation and sharing of continuous improvement practices
  • Implements best practices in TPM/maintenance SOPs
  • Supports employee suggestion system, innovator program, other involvement activities
  • Oversees implementation of the visual management tools
  • Performs regular WCM system reviews, assessments and improvements
  • Interacts with the Group WCM team to ensure full compliance
  • Handles all relevant reporting
Requirements:
  • Degree in Engineering, Quality or another relevant field
  • Hands-on experience with Lean Manufacturing practices in manufacturing is a must
  • Six Sigma Green Belt and/or Lean/WCM/CI formal/corporate training
  • Experience in project management, problem solving and coaching
  • Quality training and/or certification is an asset
  • Data analysis and statistical aptitude
  • Advanced English language skills
