This role will involve a healthy mix of UI and backend test automation, discussion of test automation architecture with iOS/backend developers and teaching manual test engineers the basics of test automation, so it is ideal for someone who likes variety in the type of work they do.
What you’ll do in this role:
Join an established SQA team as test automation leader
Build and enhance test automation to support SQA team testing needs
Ensure the scalability and reliability of test automation architecture
Increase test automation coverage and improve efficiency
Qualifications you’ll need for this role:
At least 3 years in a similar role, with a track record of building test automation from scratch
Mobile and backend test automation is a must
Good knowledge of XCUITest is advantageous (or Appium + XCUITest)
Experience with XCode is advantageous (or any IDE)
Non-technical requirements
Ability to teach others to lead from zero to junior test automation engineer
Strong overall communication skills. We are a high-communication team, so you’ll be expected to share progress frequently, raise blockers and concerns proactively, and operate autonomously.
Good spoken and written English is a must, with the majority of communication being written.
Ability to document your work clearly and concisely with text and visual diagrams.
Qualifications that will make you stand out:
Full cycle test automation of iOS Apps
Experience with Swagger, Docker, PyTest, GitLab
Experience with Load testing
Experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud)
