An Event Coordinator coordinates with employees of different functions/departments and is responsible for the logistics of events’ preparation and coordinates their activity. Communicates with vendors and coordinates their activity as related to events preparation, implementation and post-event follow up. The Coordinator is responsible for all room/venue booking and coordination and oversight of the all-school events calendar. Events designed for school staff and students will be arranged by the Events Coordinator in cooperation with AAS divisions (departments), other stakeholders. The Coordinator will communicate frequently during the pre-event planning with the designated “owner” of each specific event, and other AAS departments to identify event needs and constraints. Using facilitative leadership skills, actively drives and proactively coordinates the events. Assists various stakeholders with arranging their activities and events.

Communicates effectively with proficiency in English and Russian. The Events Coordinator should embrace the AAS Mission, Vision, and Core Values. S/he promotes the School in all words, actions, and behaviors.

Skills and qualifications:Required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google tools and other common technology applications

  • Communicates effectively and positively in different forms with all stakeholders; excellent interpersonal skills

  • Conflict management; solution-oriented

  • Time management, organizational skills

  • A positive approach towards working with students from 4-18 years old

  • An ability to work with AAS staff to create a positive school environment that will emphasize a safe, child-centered, caring atmosphere.

  • High level of productivity for the event in the process and the success/results

  • Flexibility and agility to adapt and learn in a fast-moving, fluid work environment

  • Multi-tasking skills with the ability to prioritize, organize, and complete tasks in the midst of interruptions

  • Legally residing and able to work in Moscow, Russia.

  • Speak, read and write in English fluently, according to the CREF standards, C1 or a C2 level, as determined by the external AAS testing provider

  • Must be eligible to receive a security clearance certification (provided by AAS)

Preferred:
  • Experience in customer service and/or working in an international organization/environment

  • Experience of at least 3 years organizing events and / or projects involving multiple stakeholders, event sizes ranging from 10 - 1000+ attendees
