One of the important areas of work of the Huawei R&D center is the development of new technologies in the field of computer graphics. At the moment, we are working on optimizing 3D games for the Huawei mobile platform. Our results are used by gaming companies and in visualization tasks related to the automotive business.

We are developing tools for profiling 3D applications, as well as a recently provided solution for saving energy consumption - the Motion Predict engine. This solution is a hybrid of 3D and video technologies that has been successfully integrated into flagship phones, and now we are developing it as part of a new platform for game developers - the Game SDK.

Another direction is the research and prototyping of modern 3D technologies (including mobile ray tracing).

We carefully optimize them taking into account the features of the mobile platform.

There are many interesting tasks, reviews, algorithms and opportunities to work in projects with advanced graphics, as well as optimize access to video drivers without restrictions.

We use: C++; OpenGL, Vulkan, Python and neural networks in the field of computer vision.

• Communication with HQ (head office in China), coordination of project priorities for new features;
• Analyze and estimate requirements;
• Create tasks and control implementation;
• Support and improvement of the development process;

• Presentation of the results of the team's work for the head office .

• 5+ years professional experience as an engineer (C/C++) including hands-on technical team management or leadership.
• Communication and leadership experience, with experience initiating and driving projects.
• Ability to communicate across a diverse cross-functional organization.
• Experience leading and managing a large algorithm and software development teams (20+ person teams) is desirable.
• Experience in Android Platform development and a passion for graphics will be an advantage
• Experience in game-related development is additional advantage.
• Good understanding of GPU architecture.
